The Little Light Educational Programme  

The Little Light Educational Programme is built for primary school children aged 3 - 10, teaching our young minds all about colours, emotions, positive affirmations and much more. The desired goal is to teach the children how to handle their emotions and how they can channel their energy in positive ways, helping them later on in secondary school and beyond.

 

The "little light" is a story written which sets the foundation to the programme and allows children to have the basic understanding of colours, etc.

5 other books will follow in this series to follow the story and act as aids throughout the programme.

 

The little light has been written to illustrate how we can use simple visual and creative words to stimulate young minds. Teaching them at a basic level about the significance of our emotions and the role of colours and healing can have on our lives.

 

In this example, the "little light" in the story helps to encourage young minds to visualise the scene assisting in creating a positive and creative session with the children.

 

Other tools such as balloons, crystals, breathing exercises, demonstrations on healing energies of Reiki can be used with age appropriate children to gain their interest and understanding.

 

Our proposal is to spend two hours once a week at the school working with the reception class on the following topics:

 

The little light will be used throughout the whole programme as the children are taken through his eyes as he learns about different things which are important to "making the lights shine brighter on earth"

The desired group size would be groups of 5 children to allow for use of corridor seating and to accomodate children to be open and embrace the concept.
